Any time of the day Washington Square (it is between Columbus Ave and Union St) is full with people walking up and down. It is a the only open public space in this neighbourhood and an important cultural point. It is a pleasure to come here, mostly in the morning where the smell of fresh-baked foccacia fills the air or see how the Asians perform some motions of tai chi.
