A building which was designed in the middle of the 19th can be found in Cow Hollow, on Gough Street. It is called the Octagon House. I suppose you wanna know why it has this name. Well, at that time there was a theory according to which people who were living in an octagon building would be happier and healthier. True or not, this house still exists and can be visited for free every second Sun, second and fourth Thu of the month.
