I recommend you a tour inside the Wells Fargo Museum (open from Mon until Fri) ... it is educational and funny because children can find about the history of the country in a more-friendly way. Admission is free (you must get a reservation in advance - 415 396-2619). The main attraction during the exploration of the museum is an old stagecoach.
