Cruises around San Francisco Bay

A friend went on a three-hour cruise on San Francisco Bay with Hawaiian Chieftain and paid around $40-50. The sailing boat was fine, resembling a 19th century merchant ship. The reservations office is in Marina Plaza Dock, Sausalito. For a more refined cruise, in chartered boats with skipper, you can address Spinnaker sailing in Pier 40. But I'd say that's out of the question, as long as the three-hour excursions start from $265. Can be split among a group, but still sounds threatening.
