Well, start with Richard Schmidt Surf School in 849 Almar Ave, where a two hours course is priced at 80$, but can be split among a group of trainees. Then, if you feel confident with yourself and all that's missing is a skateboard, just rush to Go skate in Beach St, as they rent boards for 10$ per day. In case you want to purchase your own gear and consult with some knowledgeable stuff, there's the Paradise Surf Shop in Portola Dr. You've got work to do now :)
