masako's question:
I want to cook dinner tonight for my girlfriend...where can I buy fresh clams and crabs in Seattle?(give a different answer) .
The Pike market. Entrance through First Ave and then it spreads within seven blocks and 16 buildings, with shop-assistants speaking dozens of foreign languages. You'll find all the seafood in the world: pink scallops caught by divers from the San Juan Islands, coho salmon, halibut, Dungeness crab and oysters. Vendors make tricks with their freight just like bartenders do with glasses and scream their lungs out "Fish up!". You can also buy baked bread and some jewelry to go with that dinner :)
