The Gateway Arch, this engineering marvel, the " Gateway to the West " as it is called is on the site of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, on 1st street not far from the riverfront. It's one of the landmarks of St Louis, and it's actually hard to miss ... cause it's huge :)
