Hitching a hike :) but I guess you're not intereste in that ... Now, if you're travelling on a budget, the 2 main cheap transportation options would be the train or the bus. St Louis being one of the largest cities in the Midwest, has both railway and bus stations. The Amtrak stops on 16th street, while the Greyhound will drop you off on 13th street
