forestgump's question:
Is there any special happening in St. Paul during the winter?(give a different answer) .
Yes! The St. Paul Winter Carnival! In fact, it's the "oldest and coldest celebration in the nation"... It's an eleven-day winter event, held in late January and early February. What's about? Well, mainly ice fishing competitions, a half-marathon, hockey, curling, ice-skating, and a nighttime torch parade.
The highlight is the Midwest's largest ice carving event, where you can admire the outdoor gallery of amazing ice sculptures.
Events take place at various locations throughout the city including facilities downtown and in the Como Lake area.
