When I traveled to Washington in the last days siting there I almost had no money so I found a Union Station Food Court (n the bottom level of Union Station, located NE of the National Mall. Metro stop: Union Station). Nothing special, the setting is noisy and crowded but the prices are cheaper than in the other places.
