It's the largest museum in the world actually, formed of 18 different galleries and hosting about 142 million exhibits. The National Air and Space Museum was what my kids loved best because of the Apollo spacecrafts, along with the Natural History Museums where they couldn't stop staring at the dinosaurs. As for myself, I couldn't help staring at the 45 carat Hope Diamond. But the Museum of African Art and the Sculpture garden are nice too. No fees!!
