The Fort Fisher State historic site in Wilmington

Hope they didn't tell you there were Cold War fortifications there :) cause there aren't. There's this place called Fort Fisher State historic site, where you can see the largest Confederate earthwork fortifications in the country from the time of the Civil War. It's at Kure Beach and there's no admission fee
