As you're not allowed to camp around wherever you want in Yellowstone, you have to go to one of the many camp sites available. The thing is it's almost always full, there are barely any vacancies. This is why you should book ahead. I stayed at this place called Rocky Mountain Campground in Gardiner. It costs just 18 $ and you can call 406 848 7251 to make a reservation
