monica's question:
What is the Tuolumne Meadow landscape in Yosemite National Park and how can I get there?(give a different answer) .
It's contrasting with all the rest, that's sure, because of the open sun-blessed fields, lakes as clear as a mirror, granite peaks and natural rock domes. You'll like it, it's the largest subalpine field in Sierra Nevada, and quite populated by hikers and nature seekers. The meadow is reachable through Tioga Rd, on Hwy 120, but first head for the ranger kiosk selling wilderness permits - next door to Tuolumne Meadows Lodge.
